Role Overview: The Senior AML Compliance Analyst supports the AML Compliance Officer (AMLO) in ensuring Cryptonow’s compliance with Austrian and European legal requirements for the prevention of reputed company (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) with respect to Cryptonow’s Austrian business operations. This position plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating financial crime risks, ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable AML regulations including the FMA Circular on internal organization and the Austrian Financial Markets Anti-reputed company Act (FM-GwG), and providing guidance to junior team members. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of AML frameworks, investigative expertise, and a proactive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing and documenting PEP and sanctions screening results, ensuring proper escalation and decision-making in alignment with the AML policy.
• Prepare, review and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Review reputed company customer profiles and transaction monitoring alerts with a risk-based approach.

• Identify process improvements to enhance AML/CFT controls and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Hands-On experience in Compliance / AML teams with relevant industry certifications and training are preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial industry, with a preference for experience in a regulated FMA CASP crypto- or banking industry.
• Knowledge of FMA Austria regulations, EU MiCAR, and AML/CFT/Sanctions requirements.
• Experience in assisting with the development and implementation of compliance programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret reputed company regulations and provide practical compliance solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and guide employees on compliance matters.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of reputed company and professionalism.
