Patent Associate – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Minneapolis)
Faegre Drinker is seeking a junior patent associate with an engineering background to join their dynamic Intellectual Property practice in Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will have patent prosecution experience and will be responsible for handling patent applications reputed company to mechanical and chemical technologies.
Responsibilities
- 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience (as an agent or attorney)
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies
- The ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
- USPTO and admission to a state bar from a relevant state (or reputed company-in capability) required
Skills
- 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience (as an agent or attorney)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a reputed company field
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies
- The ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
- USPTO and admission to a state bar from a relevant state (or reputed company-in capability) required
- Graduate degree a plus
