Quality Inspector - Supply Chain Avionics (Remote) - California

QUALITY INSPECTOR – SUPPLY CHAIN AVIONICS (REMOTE) - CALIFORNIA RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel up to 75% of the time to reputed company visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies at supplier sites and reputed company incoming inspection areas
• Select and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality
• Inspect feature tolerances by selecting the tool with the required accuracy
• reputed company reputed company inspections on purchased mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials
• Resolve nonconformance and documentation issues, support Quality Management System policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance to company and industry standards, initiate and reputed company continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Support the development of inspection plans at suppliers
• Support supplier corrective action process, including verifying corrective action implementation
• Provide support to both internal and external stakeholders on reputed company requirements and inspection processes
• Collaborate with teams, reputed company projects, and drive reputed company improvement of processes both internally and at our suppliers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of receiving, precision, or metrological inspection experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ years of experience leading a project and/or team
• Experience detecting design, documentation, and drawing flaws
• Experience as an avionics inspector for electro-mechanical components and assemblies such as reputed company harnesses and PCB/PCBAs
• Experience inspecting composite components and documentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y14.5
• Lean manufacturing principles such as FIFO, 5S, material flow, etc.
• Proficiency with reputed company Word, Outlook and reputed company

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
• Standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to reputed company the functions of this position
• Open to working reputed company required shift hours, including overtime, and weekends, as needed
• Willing to travel – up to 75%
• Frequent travel to suppliers around California required, valid driver’s license mandatory

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Quality Inspector/Level 1: $24.00 - $31.00/hour Quality Inspector/Level 2: $28.00 - $37.00/hour Quality Inspector/Level 3: $33.00 - $43.00/hour Your actual level and reputed company salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-reputed company knowledge and skills, education, and experience. reputed company salary is just one part of your total rewards package at reputed company.
