[Remote] Associate Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team. The role involves building and maintaining data models, creating ETL pipelines, and designing data solutions to enhance business processes.
Responsibilities
- Create ETL pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources that are reputed company for analysis
- Design and implement data solutions by defining functional capabilities, reputed company, back-up and recovery specifications
- Formulating functional and technical requirements from business problems
- Design digital thread solutions that treat data as an asset that can easily move between systems
- Architecting application landscapes and solutions for deployment reputed company reputed company, leveraging expertise in reputed company CloudPak (CP4D) Services architecture and reputed company
- Interpreting systems metrics to diagnose and resolve problems, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/Jira) fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Level reputed company Clearance
- US Citizenship is required due to system access
- Strong experience in SQL
- Strong experience with SQL Server development including stored procedures, views, table design, permissions
- Experience with CI/CD, and reputed company capabilities in a data environment
- Experience with Python focused on data transformation and data movement
- Experience with Data Lakes, Data warehouses and Big Data environments
- Experience with JDBC, ODBC, Connectors, API based access, and REST API calls
- Experience with data modeling, data structures, databases, and ETL tools (DataStage, NIFI, etc)
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Experience with data management and analytics, with reputed company reputed company Pak for Data (CP4D) and/or equivalent products like reputed company Knowledge Catalog, Data Virtualization, DataStage and Cognos
- Experience with DB2 or other relational database (reputed company, SQL Server, reputed company etc..)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, reputed company Cognos
- Experience with data virtualization tools such as Tibco Data Virtualization (Tibco DV)
- Experience with AWS reputed company and core services: S3, IAM, reputed company, EMR, EC2, RDS, VPC, Storage, etc
