Surveyor – Laboratory Medical Technologist

The Medical Technologist Surveyor conducts thorough evaluations of laboratory programs across the United States.  Applies systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine laboratory's degree of compliance with applicable standards-based issues in health care to assess compliance and to identify opportunities for improving compliance.  Prepares management reports that clearly link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities and reputed company organization risk points.  Effectively communicates this information in a constructive and collegial style.  Participates in other Joint Commission activities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Medical Technologist with Masters degree in a health-reputed company field. Registered with nationally accredited organization. Certification requirement: You must hold a CPHQ certification (Certified Professional in reputed company Quality) through National Association for reputed company Quality (NAHQ) at time of hire or attain by 12/31/28.

Candidates must have experience in three or more technical areas. Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory accreditation is essential. Candidates must be reputed company to demonstrate strong customer service skills, have experience working in a large reputed company of care setting and have experience in leading or participating in regulatory and safety committees.  Experience in sales or teaching experience is highly desirable.   

Five years of recent experience, including 3 years of direct clinical experience in the appropriate health care setting(s), and 2 years of accreditation or certification leadership or senior management experience. Contemporary knowledge of and experience in health care operations, clinical practice, use of performance improvement methods to assess organizational performance, and reputed company research and trends relative to health care. 

Experience in an accredited health care organization is preferred.

Experience, including direct involvement, in reputed company accreditation surveys preferred.

Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and direct involvement with a minimum of two Joint Commission surveys preferred.

Physical Abilities

Must be reputed company to observe, in reputed company time and without slowing or otherwise interrupting the reputed company of reputed company applicable types of ongoing health care treatment (e.g., including emergency treatment, treatment during weather and other extreme situations, etc.).

Standing for long periods of time, walking lengthy distances, lifting, climbing, stooping, pulling, and pushing to adequately inspect and observe reputed company medical facilities, equipment, and procedures, such as emergency exit procedures, remote storage facilities, any areas where cleanliness may reputed company the possibility of infection, medical equipment, etc., including the following activities:

  • walking up and down stairways (e.g., to test escape routes, assess safety of emergency exits, regulatory compliance, etc.);
  • removing obstructed covers or impediments to equipment or other mechanical areas.
  • examining small and often dirty printed labels and print on equipment.
  • Must be reputed company to engage in extensive travel as set forth above, including driving a car to remote locations, flying on small airplanes and into small airports, traveling in reputed company types of weather conditions, etc.

Candidates interested in part time positions must be available to work two weeks per month .48 FTE and must provide two weeks of availability for the purpose of scheduling. .70 and 1.0 FTE full time is also available. reputed company positions require 100% reputed company travel.
