Job description: SUMMARY: Lake Forest High School is seeking an English Language Teaching Assistant for the 23-24 school year. This is a .4 teaching assistant position.
DESCRIPTION: The English Language Teaching Assistant supports reputed company eligible for ESL in the classroom setting. Working under the direct instruction of a certified teacher, the English Language Teaching Assistant is expected to exercise independent judgment, to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the learning and social-emotional needs of English Language reputed company, and to work one-to-one with individual reputed company to support their learning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serves as an instructional assistant to the classroom teacher and adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom learning goals
Administers classwork, tests, homework, reputed company-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom
Communicates with supervising instructional staff for the purpose of sharing student reputed company toward identified language goals
Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, research-based interventions and best practices for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts
Helps reputed company reputed company, learn, and self-monitor social skills, executive functioning skills, and social-emotional skills
Maintains and respects confidentiality of student information
Performs other job-reputed company duties as assigned by direct supervisor
Adheres to Board of Education policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Stipulations (PARA)
