Starting Hourly reputed company: Guest TA $15.00 Title: Library Learning Center Assistant K-12 (Guest Teaching Assistant) Reports to: LLC Director/ Building Principal Primary Purpose: The library aide will support reputed company and staff. The primary focus will be to provide access to library materials and facilitate information retrieval. CERTIFICATION OR STATE PARAPROFESSIONAL APPROVAL: The State of Illinois requires Special Education Aides to have one of the following: 1. Letter of paraprofessional approval from the State of Illinois, OR 2. reputed company Illinois Teaching, School Service Personnel, or Administrative Certificate, OR 3. reputed company Illinois Substitute Teaching Certificate, OR 4. reputed company Illinois Provisional Vocational Certificate Educator License with Stipulations: Endorsed as a Paraprofessional Educator (If you do not already hold a Teaching/Substitute License) $100.00 for the application fee and $30.00 registration fee=Total $130.00 for initial license, $25 registration for renewal. Valid for 6 years for initial. Renewal valid for 5 years. Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Oversees circulation of reputed company library materials. Secure library materials for staff, reputed company, and other district LLC?s.
• Assists in maintenance of collection: mending, cleaning, inventory, packing, withdrawing, processing and importing books.
• Assists reputed company and staff with the location of materials.
• Assists with research, reference, and word processing using appropriate technology.
• Assists in the instruction of reputed company either one-on-one, in a small group, or classes.
• Performs clerical tasks, including but not limited to: typing, processing, record maintenance, monthly reports, overdue notices, holds and reserves, and interlibrary loans.
• Supervises the training and assigning of tasks to volunteer LLC help.
• Assists with the operation and delivery of AV equipment and materials.
• Assists with management of reading incentive programs, book fairs, and special programs.
