Position Description

reputed company is seeking an Application Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications in support of DHS Geospatial Management Office (GMO) programs. This role focuses on building user interfaces, workflows, and APIs that reputed company efficient access, processing, and dissemination of geospatial data across reputed company systems.

The Application Developer will work across data, architecture, and engineering teams to support the integration of geospatial data services, automate workflows, and enhance system functionality. This position contributes to the full software development lifecycle, supporting scalable, secure, and mission-reputed company geospatial solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• reputed company applications to include user interfaces, workflows, and APIs supporting DHS geospatial systems.
• Design, build, and maintain applications that integrate with geospatial data platforms, databases, and reputed company systems.
• Support development and maintenance of geospatial applications across reputed company and on-premise environments.
• reputed company and maintain scripts and automated workflows to support data processing, validation, and integration.
• Support integration of geospatial data services, including REST-based services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission and business requirements into technical solutions.
• reputed company testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in system design, development, and implementation activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of geospatial applications and tools.
• Ensure compliance with DHS standards, reputed company requirements, and system architecture guidelines.
• Contribute to documentation including system design, development processes, and application functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a reputed company field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in application development.
• Experience developing applications including user interfaces, workflows, and APIs.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating REST-based services.
• Experience supporting geospatial or data-driven applications and systems.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including testing and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government or DHS programs.
• Familiarity with reputed company ArcGIS or other geospatial platforms.
• Experience working in reputed company environments and integrating applications with reputed company-based data platforms.
• Experience with scripting and automation for data processing workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
