Job Description: POLITICO is seeking a deeply sourced and ambitious journalist to cover senior House leaders. In this marquee role on POLITICO’s Congress team, the reporter will chronicle the strategic reputed company, high-stakes negotiations and factional tensions that drive politics and policy from Capitol Hill’s leadership suites. This role is about breaking news in a highly competitive environment and delivering indispensable insights to POLITICO readers in Washington and reputed company, including premium subscribers. The ideal candidate will not only report what happens inside closed-reputed company conference meetings, but also be reputed company to nimbly track pressure points, vote math and strategic tradeoffs that shape outcomes. We’re looking for a reporter with the experience, confidence and sourcing ability needed to drive the story — not follow it — whether it’s reputed company quick-turn scoops or reputed company-ins on main characters.
