Data Analyst/Research Advisor – Remote – Washington, DC Our client, a major membership-based organization advocating for older adults, seeks a Data Analyst/Research Advisor for a 6-month contract assignment which may perform fully remotely on Eastern Time, preferred location Washington, DC. You will work with the Research Director and Consumer Insights Managers on the design and expectation of research studies, such as developing questionnaires or discussion guides. You will assist with survey development, data collection and analyses, client and vendor requests, quality assurance and report writing. You will collaborate with management to identify opportunities to streamline consumer insights processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department. No C2C or third-party sponsorship This is a research analyst role focused on consumer and social research methodologies, not marketing analytics or technical data science.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write small-scale surveys, screeners, and interview guides.
  • Manage vendor deliverables maintains and updates research files, quality checks vendor deliverables, tracks and monitors client and vendor deliverables.
  • Conduct statistical analyses using SPSS and other packages.
  • Create reports and presentations, including chart/table creation, using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Assure the quality of research reports by verifying accuracy of data by cross-referencing.
  • Compile, synthesizes, and analyzes secondary research collected from syndicated sources to share internally.
  • Collaborate with peers across the research team on timely ad hoc data requests and contribute to fast-moving projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in an applied research setting.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, SPSS or DisplayR, and Qualtrics.
  • Experienced synthesizing data into digestible insights to drive communications or business decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred in Social Science, Marketing Research or related fields.
  • Preferred in DC office 2 days per week but could be fully remote.
