About the Role
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Check prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and physician instructions
- Identify and resolve prescribing, formulary, and therapeutic issues, collaborating proactively with healthcare providers to recommend formulary substitutions when deemed appropriate
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to maintain high quality assurance practices
- Provide counseling and drug-related information to customers for both prescription and over-the-counter items
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
Requirements:
- You have 1-2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer inquiries
- Valid New York pharmacist license in good standing required
- You are able to speak, read, and write in English with high proficiency.
- You are resourceful, optimistic, creative, and enjoy helping your team
- You understand how to create a great customer experience and can analyze and improve pharmacy processes
