Job Description

We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst - AVP to help monitor and manage alternative investment strategies and associated risk information. The role involves analyzing data, generating and reviewing reports, and quantitative strategy research and due diligence. This position requires some knowledge of investment, financial, economic and industry topics. We are looking for self-motivated candidates with strong quantitative academic backgrounds and professional drive. What you’ll do:

  • Conduct quantitative research and translate analytical models into production systems
  • Lead the design and development of the analytics system
  • Build and operate scalable risk data, analytics, and reporting infrastructure
  • Investigate and analyze data errors, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Partner with Investment, Product, Engineering, and Leadership
  • Communicate results internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Strong Programming background in Python and SQL
  • Experience in finance and knowledge of investments
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and recommend potential solutions to problems
  • Takes initiative and is highly motivated
  • Works effectively and productively in a team
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Graduate degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitatively focused program, PhD preferred
  • Strong academic track record
  • 5-8 years relevant experience required

  • This position will work on a hybrid model out of our Santa Monica office

The pay range for this position is $125,000-$135,000. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
