Manager Data Engineering | East Coast | Base Salary: $150,000 – $170,000 USD | 8% Bonus Interested in joining a fast-growing tech company where data plays a central role in scaling the business? This is a hands-on Data Engineering leadership role, overseeing a small team of 2–3 engineers while staying close to the code. You’ll be responsible for building and improving large-scale data platforms and high-volume transaction processing systems used across the organisation. Experience in financial safeguarding environments would be particularly well suited to this opportunity, given the nature of the platform and the importance of data integrity across transactional flows. You’ll work remotely with distributed teams, partnering closely with product and engineering to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, focused on building robust ETL/ELT pipelines and evolving the company’s data infrastructure as the platform grows. What you’ll need
- 8+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, including leadership or tech lead responsibility
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Java or Groovy
- Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Hands-on experience with DBT, Snowflake, and cloud platforms
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and Agile delivery environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
- Python experience
- Exposure to microservices environments
