Data Analyst Tableau Developer | NumInformatics Inc | Handshake
NumInformatics is seeking a Data Analyst / Tableau Developer to support a federal financial regulatory project. This role focuses on developing data visualizations, performing data analysis, and supporting data solutions within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau, along with prior experience working with financial services or regulatory data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial datasets to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau (or similar tools such as Power BI)
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using SQL and Python
- Support data integration and data pipelines in AWS environments (e.g., Redshift)
- Ensure data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data visualization solutions
- Maintain and enhance existing dashboards to improve usability and performance
- Document data processes, report logic, and workflows
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Python
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst
- Experience working with financial services or regulatory data is required
- (e.g., federal agencies, financial institutions, or regulated entities)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy)
- Basic experience or familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Redshift) or other data platforms
- Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development
- Understanding of data quality and data management principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to present findings clearly
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- U.S. Citizenship required
