Virtual Occupational Therapist - Illinois
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in telehealth and school-based services. This role is located in Staunton, IL, and offers the flexibility of working remotely through telehealth while supporting students in educational settings. The position includes Extended School Year (ESY) dates from June 8 to July 28. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting occupational therapy evaluations and delivering intervention services to students via telehealth and in-person school settings.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that address students' functional goals.
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with applicable educational and therapeutic standards.
- Adapting therapy services to meet the unique needs of each student within the telehealth platform and school environment.
- Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with school-based occupational therapy practices.
Desired qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license appropriate for school-based practice.
- Experience providing occupational therapy services within schools, including telehealth delivery.
- Familiarity with individualized education program (IEP) processes and documentation.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, families, and school personnel.
- Flexibility to handle a hybrid caseload involving telehealth and on-site visits as required.
