[Remote] Senior Accountant - 100% WORK FROM HOME, CPA REQUIRED!
Note The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is working with a well-known, fast-growing company in the consumer services space on a search for a Senior Accountant. This role will operate as a Lead Senior on the team, playing a key role in mentoring and supporting Staff Accountants while partnering closely with leadership across accounting and finance.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis in accordance with GAAP
- Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide guidance and mentorship to support development
- Analyze financial results and identify trends, variances, and process improvements
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and strong internal controls
- Assist with audit support, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of supporting schedules
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to help streamline accounting operations and reporting Skills
- CPA required
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally from a top public accounting firm
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven collaborator and team player
- Desire or experience mentoring and managing team members
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
- Financial services industry preferred (insurance would be ideal)
