Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking motivated, detail‑oriented individuals to join our remote workforce as Data Entry & Patient Enrollment Specialists. In this full‑time, work‑from‑home role, you will be the frontline guardian of patient information, ensuring accurate entry of medication data, enrollment details, and prescription orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations. You will interact with patients, prescribers, and internal pharmacy teams via phone, email, and chat, providing timely resolutions and supporting the broader mission of delivering high‑quality health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter patient enrollment and medication data into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Process prescription refill requests, top‑off orders, and medication inquiries while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Investigate and resolve missing or incomplete data by contacting patients, prescribers, or insurance representatives.
  • Interpret and apply pharmacy abbreviations (SIG codes) to ensure correct medication dispensing instructions.
  • Handle inbound calls, messages, and chat interactions, providing clear, courteous, and solution‑focused communication.
  • Initiate outbound calls to verify insurance coverage, obtain patient consent, and confirm prescription details as needed.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior pharmacy staff, documenting all interactions in the system.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of arenaflex’s policies, state pharmacy regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Achieve and sustain a dynamic specialist certification within the first 90 days and retain active certification throughout employment.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists across multiple locations to support seamless patient care.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education in health‑care administration is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency – ability to start/shut down a PC, navigate between applications, save and print documents, and browse the internet.
  • Fundamental web‑search skills – entering URLs, bookmarking pages, using back/forward/stop functions, and completing online forms.
  • Intermediate typing speed of at least 25 words per minute with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to patients and team members.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a pharmacy or retail call‑center environment.
  • Experience with state‑licensed pharmacy technician certification or a comparable credential.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality customer service to both inbound and outbound callers, meeting service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Advanced typing speed of 35+ words per minute, with proficiency in data entry and document creation.
  • Bilingual capability – fluency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
