Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Network Security Engineer to join our arenaflex Customer Support team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain the security posture of the core infrastructure that powers arenaflex’s applications, partners, and customers. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure 99.999% availability, compliance with corporate policies, and continuous improvement of security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for internal, partner, vendor, and external access to arenaflex applications across multiple data‑center platforms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot firewall appliances and software, including site deployments, inventory management, configuration changes, and break/fix services.
- Support corporate remote‑access clients, integrating advanced technologies such as Application ID and Client ID for granular user authentication.
- Manage airport‑operations network equipment, overseeing configuration, security hardening, and incident response for mission‑critical systems.
- Collaborate with arenaflex business units through conference calls to define firewall policies and access‑control strategies.
- Provide on‑call support for infrastructure components, ensuring rapid resolution of security‑related incidents.
- Assist the IT Data Security Division in maintaining the integrity and compliance of project data and applications.
- Develop, recommend, and enforce departmental policies, standards, procedures, and best practices aligned with corporate governance.
- Participate in capacity‑planning and design of data‑center and remote‑access architecture upgrades, redesigns, and enhancements.
- Document configurations, cost analyses, and vendor compliance to guarantee optimal service delivery and contractual adherence.
- Support on‑call duties to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for project applications and customer services.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of systems administration concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Hands‑on experience managing and maintaining on‑premises and cloud‑based server infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze security logs, identify threats, and conduct thorough investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of building effective relationships with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
- Self‑starter mindset with the ability to independently prioritize and complete tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to personal and data security, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated tooling.
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
- Prior exposure to aviation or transportation industry security standards.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation of routine security tasks.
