Paralegal-Remote

Job Description

We are a small, tight-knit law firm seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team. This is a completely remote position, but the ideal candidate will be located within driving distance of San Diego.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and case files.
• Manage case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed and filed.
• Communicate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals as required.
• Conduct legal research, particularly regarding wildfire-related cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Support the team with administrative tasks and other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably with experience in wildfire legal matters.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Must be comfortable working remotely but able to attend in-person meetings or court appearances in San Diego as needed.
