At arenaflex, we are reshaping the future of enterprise technology by helping organizations around the world unlock the full potential of cloud computing. As digital transformation accelerates across every industry, companies are looking for a trusted partner who can guide them through the complexities of modernization — and that is exactly where you come in. arenaflex partners with leading enterprises, government agencies, educational institutions, and innovative startups to deliver cutting-edge cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and sustainable.

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Customer Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure Modernization & Enterprise Solutions to join our growing team. This is a remote opportunity based in Minnesota, USA, where you will work directly with prospective and existing customers, guiding them on their journey to the cloud. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love solving complex technical challenges, and enjoy engaging with both technical teams and executive decision-makers, this role offers the perfect blend of influence, impact, and career growth.

As a hybrid-friendly organization, arenaflex embraces flexible work models that empower our team to deliver their best, no matter where they are located. You will be part of a diverse, intellectually curious, and collaborative team that values innovation, inclusion, and customer obsession above all else.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will serve as the technical cornerstone of our customer relationships, bridging the gap between business challenges and transformative cloud solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opportunity Identification and Qualification: Partner closely with our sales organization to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop strategic plans to address technical blockers that may delay or derail cloud adoption.
  • Technical Relationship Management: Own and nurture the technical relationship with arenaflex customers. Lead product and solution briefings, coordinate proof-of-concept engagements, and ensure seamless orchestration of additional technical resources when needed.
  • Solution Demonstration and Prototyping: Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate, prototype, and validate arenaflex product integrations within their unique environments. Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value.
  • Legacy Environment Assessment and Modernization Roadmaps: Guide customers through detailed assessments of their existing legacy application landscapes. Provide expert recommendations and craft detailed roadmaps for application modernization that align with business priorities and technical feasibility.
  • Architecture and Integration Strategy: Recommend comprehensive integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platform configurations, and application infrastructure designs required to deliver complete, production-ready solutions on arenaflex.
  • Executive Engagement and Influence: Leverage your exceptional presentation and communication skills to engage with technical stakeholders, IT leaders, and C-suite executives. Build trust, inspire confidence, and drive consensus on technology decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, engineering, and product marketing teams to stay ahead of industry trends, share customer feedback, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of arenaflex products and services.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer within arenaflex. Surface insights, advocate for features, and help shape the future direction of our platform based on real-world customer needs and experiences.

What You Bring: Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for seasoned professionals who bring a unique combination of technical depth, customer empathy, and strategic thinking. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates a strong technical foundation.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience working with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing, pre-sales, consulting, or technical support capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with, and presenting to, a wide range of technical stakeholders — from hands-on engineers to executive leaders — and the ability to tailor your message effectively for each audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out and thrive in this role:

  • Infrastructure Engineering Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud or on-premises infrastructure engineering, including compute, storage, and networking components.
  • Virtualization and Containerization: Deep familiarity with virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, or similar).
  • Cloud Migration Experience: Proven track record of migrating applications, services, and workloads to cloud platforms, with an understanding of migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of security controls, including encryption, identity and access management, attack vectors, penetration testing, and security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Networking Proficiency: Strong grasp of networking concepts, such as software-defined networking (SDN), routing protocols, virtual private networks (VPNs), load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A passion for understanding customer needs, building lasting relationships, and delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Continuous Learning Attitude: A self-driven learner who stays current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in cloud computing.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Beyond technical expertise, success in this role requires a blend of soft skills and professional competencies, including:

  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple, business-friendly terms to audiences of all levels.
  • Storytelling and Presentation: Strong storytelling skills that allow you to craft compelling narratives around technical solutions and their business impact.
  • Influencing and Negotiation: The ability to influence decision-making, build consensus, and guide customers toward optimal technical solutions.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative spirit with a willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to the broader success of the team.

  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Work alongside product, engineering, and sales leaders, gaining a holistic view of how a leading cloud organization operates.
  • Industry Recognition: The opportunity to build your personal brand through speaking engagements, technical publications, and participation in industry events.
