What You'll Do

As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be an integral member of our Information and Analytics team, contributing to projects that deepen our understanding of customer behavior across music marketing, release, and consumption channels. Your work will directly impact how we connect artists with their audiences and shape the future of music entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition and Management: Gather, organize, cleanse, and control modern, large-scale, high-dimensional data from various unique sources using advanced tools like PySpark and optimized SQL queries. You'll ensure data integrity and accessibility across the organization.
  • Automated Analysis Framework Development: Build automated, flexible, repeatable, and integrated analysis solutions using modern big data ecosystems such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery. Create sustainable pipelines that support ongoing business needs.
  • Advanced Analytics Execution: Apply sophisticated analytical techniques including data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning to identify patterns and uncover opportunities within complex datasets. Translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Campaign and Product Analysis: Lead campaign, product, content, and audience analysis for organization needs. Develop and present key metrics that measure success and inform future strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to complete data projects, contributing to requirement discovery, design, build, and quality assurance phases. Serve as a trusted analytical resource across departments.
  • Insight Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling data-driven stories that resonate with audiences across all organizational levels. Present findings with confidence and clarity.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and professional experience demonstrating proficiency in data analysis methodologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of programming tools such as PySpark/Python/R and SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools is essential.
  • Analytical Methods: Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, statistical analysis approaches, and data mining methodologies.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application and demonstrate additional readiness for success in this role:
  • Advanced Machine Learning Experience: Experience applying supervised and unsupervised learning techniques such as linear and logistic regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to derive, validate, and measure conclusions from data.
  • Data Engineering Background: Experience with distributed computing systems including Databricks, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake for handling large-scale datasets.
  • Big Data Handling: Demonstrated experience manipulating large, transaction-level datasets and interpreting data trends from disparate data sources.
  • Industry Passion: Strong enthusiasm for music and/or media entertainment, with interest in understanding industry dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with major music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music), virtual social networks (TikTok, Facebook/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice platforms).
  • Advanced Degree: Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
