Role Overview – Customer Engagement Manager II, Direct Channel Strategy & Activation

We are seeking a dynamic, analytical, and collaborative professional to join our Direct Channel Strategy & Activation (DCS&A) team. In this role, you will own the day‑to‑day management and execution of direct‑channel campaigns that power personalized guest experiences on social media and other digital platforms. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for the tools, data, and processes that enable our marketing partners to deliver targeted, high‑impact communications that delight customers and drive measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational planning, execution, and optimization of multi‑channel direct marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Design, build, and maintain complex campaign workflows that integrate data from CRM, CDP, and social media platforms.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams—including Creative, Analytics, Product, and Vendor Management—to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable campaign specifications.
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) testing of campaign assets, data mappings, and delivery mechanisms to guarantee flawless execution.
  • Monitor campaign performance in real time, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed KPI targets.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, best practices, and troubleshooting guides to support onboarding and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing training on data analysis, campaign orchestration, and platform usage.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, streamlining workflows, and recommending technology enhancements.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Adobe Campaign Classic, Adobe Campaign Standard, and other marketing automation tools.
  • Contribute to strategic planning sessions, offering insights on audience segmentation, channel mix, and emerging social media trends.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience writing complex SQL queries, including joins, sub‑queries, and data transformation for large datasets.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing end‑to‑end campaign lifecycle processes, from strategy through execution and post‑campaign analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical data insights into compelling narratives for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and data quality assurance practices.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Campaign Classic and Adobe Campaign Standard, including workflow creation, audience segmentation, and reporting.
  • Hands‑on experience with front‑end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) to support campaign rendering and personalization.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and critical‑thinking skills, with a proven track record of collaborating across matrixed organizations.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high‑quality, error‑free customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat) and their APIs.
  • Familiarity with data‑driven marketing concepts such as look‑alike modeling, predictive segmentation, and multi‑touch attribution.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for consent management in direct marketing.
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or related data‑visualization tools.
  • Project management experience, preferably with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a proactive, solution‑focused attitude.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to dissect large data sets, identify trends, and make data‑driven recommendations.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfort working with SQL, marketing automation platforms, and front‑end web technologies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Vision to align campaign tactics with broader business goals and brand storytelling.
