Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable telephone support to patients receiving specialty drug therapy.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and re‑orders, including verification of benefits and eligibility.
  • Enter prescription information into the pharmacy information system with precision and attention to detail.
  • Communicate copay amounts, collect payments, and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
  • Obtain prior authorizations, work closely with insurance carriers, health‑care providers, and internal teams to resolve clinical or financial issues.
  • Identify, screen, and troubleshoot accounts receivable or clinical concerns, escalating when necessary to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, orders, and resolutions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners—including pharmacy technicians, clinical specialists, and billing teams—to deliver seamless service.
  • Continuously stay informed about changes in specialty drug formularies, insurance policies, and industry regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training, virtual job tryouts, and performance reviews to enhance skill sets and service quality.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated computer keyboarding skills with a strong aptitude for fast, accurate data entry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in health‑care administration is a plus.
  • Residency in Florida and ability to work within a 75‑mile radius of the Orlando specialty location (9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a health‑care setting, particularly with specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Familiarity with health‑care benefits, insurance verification, prescription terminology, and medical jargon.
  • Experience using pharmacy management systems or electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
