[Remote] Data and Reporting Analyst (Remote)

The Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support organizational decision-making and strategic initiatives, transforming raw data into actionable insights through various reporting and visualization tools.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, consolidate and analyze large datasets from multiple internal and external sources
- Perform database inquiries, compile and analyze data, identify trends, and furnish statistical analyses and reports on service delivery
- Present findings in clear, concise formats tailored to different audiences
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations using Power BI and other Microsoft tools to support decision-making
- Automate reporting process to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions and support leadership requests
- Establish procedures to ensure the accurate and efficient collection and entry of data into reporting system
- Create and maintain documentation for data definitions, including a dictionary, reports, and analysis processes
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices
- Recommend improvements to existing processes based on data insights and collaborating with teams to improve system performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative analysis, information technology, or a related field PLUS Two years' experience in providing qualitative or quantitative data compilation, analysis, reporting, and database management. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Complex Database management experience and manipulation using tools such as SQL, Python or Excel or other data marts to meet user needs
- Professional experience using visualization tools, specifically Power BI
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Strong mathematical skills, data modeling, and proven successful experience to analyze, model, and interpret data
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities
- Strong effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Experience using strong interpersonal skills such as collaboration and coordination with various levels of stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and demonstrated ability to use software to prepare management reports and present information
- Knowledge and/or familiarity with the military lifestyle
- Prior experience working with the Fleet and Family Support Programs
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
