Job Description:
As a Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience. You will be responsible for handling financial transactions, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and orderly checkout area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Greet and interact with customers in a positive and friendly manner.
– Handle cash, credit, or reputed company transactions with customers.
– Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
– Count money in cash drawers to ensure correct balance.
– Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
– Resolve customer complaints or direct them to appropriate departments.
Requirements:
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Basic math and computer skills.
– Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
– Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
– Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Educational Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Experience:
While no specific experience is required, previous experience in a customer service or cashier position would be advantageous.
