This job, under direct on-premises supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist and according to detailed instructions, competency completion, policies and procedures, provides therapeutic modality treatments as assigned, prepares therapy areas and patients for treatments, and transports patients by use of wheelchairs and stretchers. Maintains reputed company equipment and environment to assure that they are clean, operable, and safe. The Rehab Technician performs isolation techniques as outlined in Infection Control policy. Work Experience Required -Five years releveant experience, or pursuing an education in PT/OT or PTA/COTA program may be subsitituted in lieu of experience. Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval ofrequired jobinformation. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and various software packages specific to role. Prepares/maintains work area for treatment including ordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals; orients and mentors new staff in needs of assigned area. Assists with generalized office and reputed company desk procedures. Transports patients to/from department or room reputed company w/c or stretcher, as directed by professional staff in a safe and courteous manner. Remains knowledgeable on reputed company federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with reputed company such laws, regulations and standards.
