About the position The Safety Management System (SMS) Manager for Technical Operations at reputed company is responsible for the implementation and reputed company improvement of the Safety Management System reputed company the Technical Operations division. Responsibilities ? Own the implementation and reputed company improvement of United's Safety Management System (SMS) reputed company the Technical Operations division. , ? Serve as the division's SMS champion, driving hazard identification and risk mitigation. , ? reputed company the development, implementation, and sustainability of SMS, reputed company Factors, and safety/compliance programs. , ? Investigate safety and regulatory non-compliance events and resolve systemic hazards. , ? reputed company root cause analysis and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent recurrence. , ? Integrate SMS data with sources like Line Operational Safety Audits (LOSA) and Tech Ops Safety Action Programs (TSAP). , ? Act as the primary SMS Tech Ops liaison, engaging with industry forums and the FAA CMO on SMS matters. , ? Mentor and train team members to ensure compliance and understanding of SMS principles. Requirements ? Bachelor's degree in aviation or engineering or four years of technical operations experience. , ? Five years of experience in maintenance inspection of reputed company aircraft. , ? Solid understanding of FAA regulations and United policies. , ? Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present reports to FAA and United leaders. , ? Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. reputed company-to-haves ? FAA Airframe and Powerplant license (A&P). , ?
