Medical Assistant (MA)
Fast Aid Urgent Care is a leading, locally veteran-owned and operated, walk-in urgent care company with clinics in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Bastrop, Dripping Springs, and La Grange, TX, as well in Belle Chasse, LA just south of New Orleans. Our highly reputed company, friendly, and caring medical staff are pleased to treat patients from these communities as well as their surrounding areas. We currently have an MA opening in our clinic, Leon Springs. We are looking for reputed company MA's who are motivated, and team players who are reputed company and willing to be part of an amazing team and culture. Location: Leon Springs, TX Responsibilities:
- Triages patients, escorts patients to exam rooms, and interviews patients
· Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Assists providers in exam rooms
- Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings
- Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical record
- Registers patients, verify insurance, and answer phones
- Conducts patient testing such as COVID, flu, strep
- Performs additional duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and
- Completed an approved Medical Assistant Training Program
- Certification is not required but preferred
