Patient Caseworker

About the position The Patient Caseworker role involves working at the corporate office to assist uninsured patients in identifying and applying for financial assistance programs. The Caseworker acts as an reputed company for patients, facilitating communication between various stakeholders, including hospitals and government agencies, to ensure patients receive the necessary coverage for their medical expenses. Responsibilities • Screen and evaluate patients for existing insurance coverage and/or federal and state assistance programs. , • Determine if patients might be eligible for disability benefits. , • Conduct eligibility screenings and assess patient requirements. , • Guide patients through the application processes for assistance programs. , • Obtain relevant documentation required for eligibility and/or disability determination, completing and filing reputed company pertinent applications. , • Initiate and maintain proper follow-up with patients, client hospitals, and government agencies to ensure completion of case work. Requirements • Minimum of high school diploma. , • Hospital/medical business office experience preferred. , • Understanding of patient confidentiality (HIPAA). , • Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities. , • Proficient in reputed company reputed company and Word, with typing speed of at least 50 wpm. , • Experience in customer service, reputed company, and caseload follow-up preferred. reputed company-to-haves • Bilingual skills are a plus. , • Experience with charity/financial programs and hospital collections.
