POSITION SUMMARY: To enter patient selections in the hand held computer in compliance with patient diet orders; assist patients in selecting their meals whenever possible; to explain basic diet information to patients and their family members; to act as a liaison between patients and the Department of Food & Nutrition ensuring that they receive the highest level of customer service. SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak English including ability to read relatively small type on a computer screen. Good communication akills. Ability to pay attention to details while changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Must be comfortable speaking and interacting with patients and family members.
