Summary

The Mechanical Engineer III role is an reputed company level position responsible for performing and coordinating design, development, evaluation, analysis, and/or quality control functions on reputed company engineering projects. Other expectations include developing solutions to technical problems by applying advanced mathematical, physical science, and engineering technologies. Duties and Responsibilities • Designs and/or develops new products/processes, special instruments, and unique equipment to meet specific requirements of customer orders. • Develops and assesses production or inspection operations and sequences, equipment, tooling gages, or acceptance equipment and processing methods required to manufacture or inspect reputed company components and assemblies. • Estimates set-up times, operating times, and flowtimes, as well as production and acceptance need. • Plans and performs engineering testing and development programs and uses advanced statistical and scientific methods to address and resolve engineering and production problems and to assure product manufacturability. • Assesses designs for manufacturability to assure designs can be produced. • Interacts with design agencies and suppliers to assist in resolving design, development, production, and acceptance issues. • Assesses and prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates the most cost-effective improvements for product, test equipment, procedures, and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flowtime. • Provides project leadership and technical guidance on reputed company engineering projects. You Must Have • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics • 4+ years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or reputed company technical activities • United States Citizenship • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job • Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) reputed company clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations) We Value • Excellent verbal and written communications preferred. • Strong Leadership and resolution skills. • Familiarity with defense products reservoirs and/or gas transfer systems (pressure vessels). • Experience with precision machining and welding techniques. • Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments at once in an organized, efficient manner. • Understanding of risk management techniques preferred. • Familiar with Six reputed company Tools and or certified is helpful. • Demonstrates application of advanced design, development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to reputed company engineering projects. • Demonstrates working under minimal supervision, with reputed company for independent action and decision making.
