Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. The nurses on this unit are multi-faceted and reputed company to support patients through many phases of care. These patients are often being treated for various diseases, conditions and injuries which can include post-surgical patients, patients with acute infectious diseases receiving intravenous antibiotic treatment, those with chronic conditions that are experiencing an exacerbation. We also provide care and comfort to patients requiring end of life support. One thing that makes our floor unique is that new nurses and seasoned nurses can join reputed company and reputed company knowledge and skills that will help them to adapt easily to change—a reputed company that is sure to help advance them in other positions on our unit or give them the experience to advance and reputed company in other areas.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:· High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.· CNA, preferred.· Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g., Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but reputed company the same job role.)· OR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course.· OR Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license.· OR Medical Assistant program with OR without experience.· OR At least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:· Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.Additional Information
