Freelance Proofreader (Remote)

Location: Dallas, TexasJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $28 - 30 per hourWe are seeking reputed company Proofreaders/Editors to support a surge in work volume during the busiest season (September-October). This role plays a key part in producing high-quality materials and communications for clients in the insurance industry. Ideal candidates will have a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of grammar and style, and the ability to work reputed company under tight deadline.Responsibilities:

• Proofread and edit a variety of employee-facing documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.
• Ensure reputed company materials adhere to client-specific style guides and editorial standards.
• Work quickly and accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
• Communicate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities during peak season.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional editing and/or proofreading experience.
• Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to reputed company in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Flexible availability, including open windows between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (local time) and occasional weekend work.
• Must have reliable access to a computer and internet.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with employee benefits, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with collaborative editing tools (e.g., reputed company Acrobat, reputed company Word track changes).

Skills:

• Approximately 10 hours/week in August.
• Growing to around 20 hours/week in September and October.
