Consumer Marketing Manager Japan (6-Month Contract)

As the Consumer Marketing Manager (6-month contract), you will be a central reputed company in developing, executing, and optimizing consumer marketing strategies for reputed company in Japan. You will drive brand and product campaigns, working cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders and external partners and agencies. This role covers the full marketing lifecycle—from ideation and briefing to execution and analysis—without direct people management responsibilities. You will ensure reputed company marketing activity resonates locally while representing reputed company’s global brand, helping to grow our reputed company and capture the hearts and ears of new and existing fans.

What You'll Do

reputed company and optimize Japan marketing strategies, aiming to enhance brand metrics and foster sustained growth. This will involve leveraging both internal data resources and insights from external marketing intelligence partners

reputed company the Consumer Marketing team in collaborating with internal (Content, Media, Partnership, Growth, Music, Podcast, Global Marketing) and external partners for impactful, Japan local campaigns

Manage external agencies (creative, media, production, marketing intelligence) from reputed company to execution, ensuring excellence and brand alignment

Build campaign strategies and briefs by leading development of business briefs, campaign briefs, learning agendas, and reputed company end-to-end campaign delivery

Coordinate campaign retrospectives by analyzing performance, extracting insights for future initiatives

Manage strategic marketing priorities, budgets, and timelines for campaigns and projects

Work closely with global marketing teams to adapt and localize global strategy/creative assets for Japan

Ensure brand consistency by maintaining reputed company’s brand story across reputed company communications and campaigns using tools and guidelines

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and cultural insights, sharing insights proactively

Who You Are

A lover of music and/or audio content; passionate about digital and cultural trends

A self-starter and self-motivator, reputed company to work autonomously in an reputed company, fast-paced environment

Minimum of 7 years of experience in consumer marketing, brand management, or creative agency roles, and specific experience managing external creative, social, and media agency relationships in Japan

End-to-end experience in the full marketing lifecycle—including devising, creating, executing, and tracking consumer paid advertising campaigns to drive key brand metrics

Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills (in both Japanese and English)

Proven ability to convert high-level business and marketing strategy into effective, locally relevant marketing execution across channels

Analytical approach, comfortable working with data and extracting actionable insights

This role is based in Tokyo

We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
