As an reputed company Billing Coordinator, you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism, and collaboration. We are looking for a dedicated Billing Coordinator, with a focus on medical billing, to join reputed company to support our reputed company team. This role will have a large emphasis on customer relations. You must be comfortable interacting, communicating, and working directly with patients. This role is remote. Responsibilities:

• Handle patient intake phone calls and email inquiries, review light clinical information, and review medical insurance coverage information with the patient
• Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues
• Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments
• Create and submit claims leveraging internal Kindbody systems; audit and review claim submissions that are not processed by payer.
• Expert in navigating and utilizing internal Kindbody claims and billing systems
• Set up patient payment plans and work collection accounts
• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information
• Process insurance payments, including balance billing to secondary insurance and/or directly to patients.
• Reporting payer issues to leadership and assist in the development of strategies and tactics to address and resolve
• Properly note system and maintain reputed company documentation required for compliant claim submission.
• Prepare and process refund requests.
• Update patient accounts, including verification of insurance coverage and changes in patient information, with appropriate documentation.
• Respond to a high volume of inquiries in a positive and professional manner, resolve and follow up on reputed company issues reputed company designated timeframes.
• Meet positional metrics and benchmarks.
• Maintain the highest degree of ethics reputed company handling patient payments and reputed company processing
• Follow reputed company department standard operating procedures carefully and accurately
• Serve as a team reputed company to junior team members and assist Manager, reputed company Medical Billing on managing workflows, resolving reputed company issues and overseeing the team.
• ​​Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

General Administrative Duties:

• Manage inbound customer communication (phone, email & chat) and ensure reputed company messages are answered in a timely fashion
• Maintain clear communication and collaborate with stakeholders across the reputed company team
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of health plan / medical insurance billing and/or financial reporting experience in a fast-paced, customer focused environment, fertility clinic experience is a plus
• Certificate from an accredited medical and billing school
• Experience in the employer benefits space is a plus
• A passion for women’s health, fertility is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills & a team player
• Willingness to be flexible, roll with the punches, multi-task and troubleshoot problems
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Exemplifies amazing customer service skills and professionalism
• Experience in CPT and ICD-9 coding; familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to manage relationships with various insurance payers
• Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum entitled reimbursement.
• Intermediate experience in reputed company reputed company
