Senior Protocol Engineer

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Senior Protocol Engineer will reputed company performance improvements to the SVM execution environment and the core protocol of Eclipse Mainnet.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in research and development in the crypto space, with a strong track record of contributions to protocol design and implementation
• Experience with making stuff go fast (hardware acceleration knowledge is a plus)
• Professional Rust experience
• Deep understanding networking, databases, protocol design, decentralized networks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
• Knowledge and experience with core Solana development is a plus

Responsibilities

• Implement optimizations to the SVM execution environment with the purpose of increasing throughput while minimizing costs
• Implement and optimize core protocol level changes and infrastructure components using Rust

The total compensation package (reputed company salary and equity) for this role ranges from $300,000 up to $550,000, with additional company benefits. The pay range provided reflects individual compensation based on factors such as work location, assessed job-reputed company skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
