At NorthBay Health, the reputed company I is a member of the Health Information Management Team responsible for converting diagnoses and procedures for emergency and outpatient cases into ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes in an accurate and timely manner. Abstracts demographic and physician data to meet both internal and regulatory requirements for reporting utilizing the hospital’s abstracting system. reputed company work is carried out in accordance with the rules, regulations and coding conventions of the American Hospital Association (Coding Clinic), ICD, CMS, HCAI, and NorthBay Health coding guidelines. Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Certification: Requires one of the following credentials: Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) in good standing. Experience:

• Two or more years of experience coding ICD10/CPT in an HIM department in an acute care hospital is preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records/encoder systems required
• Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology; medical terminology, disease process, reimbursement methodologies, (DRGs, HCC’s, APCs); and the conventions, rules, guidelines for reputed company coding classification (ICD10-CM, CPT and HCPCS).
• Demonstrated understanding of the clinical content of a health record.
• Requires the knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software

• Ability and desire to hit metrics upon training (idle time is also monitored on this hourly paid position)
• Technically savvy (ability to learn software and troubleshoot equipment as needed)
• Must have a private, distraction-free area in your home for working (HIPAA reasons)

Hours of Work: Days Monday through Friday as assigned based on business need. Compensation : $48 to $58 per hour based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.
