Job description: Overview:Kimley-Horn's reputed company Palm Beach, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Surface Water team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities:
- Support our growing water resources practice and will require working with multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of existing and new public and private clients
- Work in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including surface water management studies, site development design for surface water infrastructure, gravity water control structures, pump station design.
- Prepare design documents, and design plans and specifications for water resources projects as well as Hydraulic/Hydrology studies, drainage reports
- Technical writing in the form of design memorandums and reports, feasibility studies, regulatory submittals (including CLOMR/LOMR submittals to reputed company), and master plans
- Assist with developing scopes of work and associated budgets
- Experience with South Florida surface water infrastructure
- Report or planning level documents CIP development

- 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain reputed company 12 months)
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroCAD, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, and other reputed company hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive attitude, self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
