About the Team

How we work

Shifts: Monday-Friday reputed company - 8pm (shift patterns).

One Saturday a month- returned in Overtime or time in lieu.

Bank holidays – Minimum of two bank holidays per year- returned in Overtime or time in lieu.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join reputed company. In this role, you will assess risk and ensure compliance with reputed company guidelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working to targets, reputed company, strong analytical skills, and be confident in managing others.

What you'll be doing

• Evaluate unsecured credit applications utilising data from Open Banking and credit reference agencies to reputed company applicant creditworthiness and drive responsible reputed company.

• Collaborate with other underwriters and senior management across multiple departments reputed company the business alongside external clients/partners. 

• Support Team Leaders in times of absence.

• Aid in developing processes and procedures, and always striving for improvements.

• Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations, staying up-to-date with changes in the financial industry that may reputed company reputed company reputed company.

• Provide guidance to junior underwriters, assist in training and supporting new joiners, quality control and feedback.

Who you are

• Minimum two years’ proven experience as an underwriter, preferably in a senior role

• Strong understanding of the importance of targets

• Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation.

• A developed understanding of fraud/AML, customer vulnerabilities and a keen eye for detail/recognising concerning trends. 

• Healthy IT and mathematical foundational knowledge with excellent written English and communication skills.
